#10YearsChallenge: Planet Earth, Then and Now..!!
Everyone is busy to post a 2009 photo of themselves next to a recent one, to show how much they have changed. So many people have taken part in this challenge. However, this 10 Years challenge has also highlighted the climate change in the last decade to which nobody has given any attention to. Yes, now the theme #10YearsChallenge has changed the story to some extent as many people are using the hashtag to reflect on bigger changes in climate.

Most Importantly, Climate change is alarming! it has been reported that Pakistan is the 8th most affected country in the world. The major issue is a water shortage in Balochistan is endangering humans & animals. 10 years from now, it can be either better or worse. It all depends on our today’s action.

Protecting our planet is no doubt a big challenge. The four natural wonders are facing destruction as we are not doing anything to protect them.

The Great Barrier Reef:
Half the great barrier reef has died since 2016, as water is getting too hot for coral to survive. 90% of heat trapped by greenhouse gasses is absorbed by the ocean. Up to 94% of tropical reefs have suffered fatal bleaching caused by warm water.
2. The Antarctic:
Now the ice sheets are melting six times faster than in the 1980s. Antarctic ice alone accounts for 0.6mm of sea level rise every year.
3. The Amazon Rainforest:
The 20% of Amazon rainforest has already been destroyed and according to the estimation that the figure will be 27% by 2030, at current rates.
4. The Rhone Glacier:
Scientists say that half of Switzerland’s small glaciers will be gone by 2045. It is to be expected that the alps would lose up to 70% of their snow cover by 2099.
