Dec-Jan Edition 2015-Pakistan is among the highly populated countries of the world with over 190 million people and expects to grow to 226 million by 2025. This makes Pakistan a huge customer market especially for the ICT sector. Technology is a field in which private tech-giants have taken the lead but government administrations are not only facilitating the change but are also using it to bring efficiency in their own service delivery to public as well.

As the telecom industry in Pakistan becomes widely available and deep rooted, it affects more & more people. This impact is very profound when the government of Pakistan announces to shuts down mobile services for security reasons specially at times when it is most needed like Eid and other festivities as well as in cases of disasters.

This ‘shutdown’ trend is legacy of the previous (PPP) government, which was strongly criticized by the people and the operators every now and then.

Fawad was born on 29 November 1981 in Karachi and completed A-Level from LGS Lahore. He got his Bachelor’s Degree from National University of Computers and Emerging Sciences (FAST). He is an actor, a singer, a model and he also owns a brand called “Silk” which is his collaboration with his wife. He was the lead singer of Entity Paradigm (EP), a Pakistani nu metal band but due to diabetes he quit singing and focused on his acting career and today he is among the top star list of Pakistan.
