DIRBS Mobile Registration System Unavailable Due To Maintenance 

All the people who want to register their phones during this weekend will have to wait till Sunday. Mobile Registration and related activities will start again from Monday. DIRBS benefits all mobile users of Pakistan. Most importantly, it helps to get those phones blocked via registered IMEI that have been snatched. It thwarts phone snatchers to re-sell your phones anymore. The system discourages unscrupulous sellers who sell refurbished phones for the price of a new one and ensures the availability of 100% legal devices.

The ratio of smuggled mobile phones used in GB and AJ&K with SCO Sims is quite high. People use phones in these areas without paying taxes. A few months back, SCO and FBR (Federal Board of Revenue) joined hands to counter the use of unregistered and illegal imported mobile phones in GB and AJ&K by registering IMEIs of the mobile phones through DIRBS. There were some legal deterrents but SCO & FBR overcame all the legal bottlenecks to counter the use of illegal mobile phones.
