Etisalat Group Announces Saleh al Abdooli as New CEO

Etisalat Group announced its new CEO yesterday. Mr. Saleh Abdullah Al Abdooli has been appointed as the new CEO of the group by the Board of Directors of the Emirates Telecommunications Group Company.

Mr. Abdooli replaced the recently hired interm CEO of the group Hatem Dowidar. Mr. Hatem Dowidar was hired CEO last month when Ahmad Julfar resigned from the group leadership due to his personal reasons.

Mr. Abdooli has over 25 years of senior level experience in the telecom sector. He will now look for the company’s UAE and international operations.

The Board of Directors of the Emirates Telecommunications Group Company said that:

“His leadership years as CEO of Etisalat Misr was a great success story in the telecom industry and earned him a great reputation as leader of one of the best third entrants in mobile operation worldwide. He achieved remarkable results in the mature Egyptian market dominated by other telecom providers, gaining a strong foothold as one of the leading telecom companies in the country.”

A part form this, the BOD also made many other essential changes in to the leadership positions at different level.
