First GTA 6 Trailer Gives Us A Glimpse Of Some New Characters

GTA 6 is coming in 2025. Rockstar Games is all set to take us back to the sun-soaked streets of Vice City. Recently, the first official GTA 6 trailer surfaced online giving us a pretty spectacular look at Leonida, showing some of the wild sights and sounds the state will offer. The trailer also gave us a glimpse of GTA 6 characters that we will encounter in the much-anticipated sequel of the decade.

The most notable are Lucia and Jason who are tipped to be female and male protagonists respectively. The duo made an appearance in the official trailer this time. Before that, they have been featured in many leaked footage clips. Lucia, the female Latina protagonist, will be the first playable woman in modern Rockstar history. Both characters seem to be in a relationship. Their story resembles the Great Depression-era bank-robbing couple, Bonnie and Clyde. GTA 6 will boast a character switch mechanic that you can use to change between Jason and Lucia by pressing “Down” on the D-Pad.

What We Know About GTA 6 So Far

The GTA 6 official trailer is one minute and 30 seconds long. However, it doesn’t reveal much about the characters. A few other characters other than Jason and Lucia were also revealed in the much-anticipated trailer. However, they were not named. They are tipped to be Dale, Chester, Danny, Iris, Shanese, Vicky, Dre, Sam, Kai, Wyman, Billy, Tit, Boobie, Zach, and RB Shaw.

Rockstar also confirmed the launch date of the highly anticipated game. Its release date is set for 2025. Interestingly, Take-Two, the Rockstar owner, implies that the gameplay will be out by March 2025 while saying nothing about it. CEO Strauss Zelnick stated:

“We remain confident that we are positioning our business for a significant inflection point in fiscal 2025, which we believe will include new record levels of operating performance.”

The considerable boost to revenue will supposedly be due to the GTA 6 launch. One of the interesting gameplay changes is that the player will not be able to carry a dozen weapons and armor with them at all times. They can switch between them on the fly.
