GFive Clarifies Mobile Manufacturing Rumor

The news of local manufacturing of mobile phones by GFive Mobile (Private) Limited has been floated on many websites from last few days but unfortunately the word “Assembling” has been mixed up with “Manufacturing” by the news agencies. G’Five is only assembling mobile phones (both smartphones and feature phones) and not manufacturing them as it has not got the NOC from Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) yet and still in process of green signal from the national authorizing body PTA. The news of assembling was even wrongly updated on international platforms like Telecom Paper.

GFive Clarifies Mobile Manufacturing Rumor Confirmed by Phone World through Official Resources

In this regard, Phone World Team talked to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), Mr. Ahmad Khurshid Choudhary, of G’Five and he also cleared this mis-communicated news. As he said:

“We didn’t get the NOC for local manufacturing yet from PTA, hence G’Five is only assembling mobile phones.”

Presently, G’Five has assembled around 87,000 mobiles units in Pakistan through installed assembly line; for which the brand has successfully collaborated with Warid Telecom to initiate Smarter Pakistan step.
