Surely such type of apps provide parents an easiest way to keep a check on their children’s activities. However, there is also a limitation to use this app. To run Family Link, your child’s device will have to be running Android 7.0 or higher. There are also a few devices that can support the app on Android 6.0. To control another device with Family Link, your device must be running Android Kit Kat (4.4) or higher or iOS 9 or higher.
Once you have gone through the setup process on both devices, you will have the option to set a daily screen on time limit and a device bedtime. This app provides three basic groups of controls to the parents.
- Manage the apps your kid can use: Approve or block the apps your kid wants to download from the Google Play Store.
- Keep an eye on screen time: See how much time your kid spends on their favorite apps with weekly or monthly activity reports, and set daily screen time limits for their device.
- Set device bedtime: Remotely lock your kid’s device when it’s time to play, study, or sleep.
