LG to Manufacture 6.5″ OLED Displays for Apple’s Next iPhone


As year 2018 has arrived, it seems Apple has some new plans for its upcoming large iPhones‘. There are different rumors about Apple new plans i.e. Apple has selected JG to manufacture 6.5 inch OLED display for company. LG to Manufacture 6.5″ OLED Displays for Apple’s Next iPhone.

iPhone X is on the top due to its face ID, impressive display, new interaction methods and solid performance. LG is expected to ship between 15 and 16 million OLED panels in 2018. Now Samsung will not make OLED screens for new iPhones but will continue to make for 5.8 inch OLED panels that Apple has incorporated in iPhone X.

LG to Manufacture 6.5″ OLED Displays for Apple’s Next iPhone

Previous reports have claimed that Apple plans to release a 5.8 and 6.5-inch OLED models of the next iPhone, with a mid-size 6.1-inch TFT LCD display as well. OLED displays are brighter and offer more vivid colors compared to an LCD display, but are also more expensive to manufacture.

There are rumors that due to demand of large screen, Apple will definitely launch smartphones with larger screens. As iPhone X is only available in one size so Apple will likely expand their screen size.

As Apple devices are very costly which is evident from the price of iPhone X, may be Apple will charge very high for large screen phones to be launched in 2018.

Its some what shocking to know that Apple has chosen LG for large screens as Apple is working from last many year with Samsung for OLED display. Samsung generates huge revenue from Apple’s OLED screen, so it seems that company will have to face some crisis.
