In a recent development, a two-member delegation of Meta called on Minister of State for IT and Telecommunication, Shaza Fatima Khawaja in her office. The meeting was held on Thursday. The delegation comprised Dania Mukhtar, Head of Public Policy for Pakistan at Meta, and Taabeer Ather, Manager of Public Policy for Pakistan. Sources claim that the major topic of discussion during the meeting was the responsible use of social media platforms.

The Meta folks told the IT Minister about what their company is doing in Pakistan. They talked a lot about how to use social media responsibly. Moreover, they also shared details about different campaigns including the Digital Safety Campaign, Digital Literacy Program, and Election Education Campaign. Minister of State for IT and Telecom, Shaza Fatima Khawaja appreciated what Meta has been doing in Pakistan. Moreover, she ensured her full support to the company.

In addition to that, the Minister of State for IT and Telecommunication, Ms. Shaza Fatima Khawaja, visited Airlink’s state-of-the-art smartphone manufacturing facility. During the visit, Shaza Fatima applauded Airlink’s commitment to innovation and its remarkable inclusion of women in the labor force, which stands at an exceptional 25 to 30%.
