PEC to provide interest Free loans to Young Engineer for Promoting Entrepreneurship

Pakistan engineering council has announced to provide interest-free loans to young engineers. Keeping in view unemployment, the chairmen PEC, Engineer Salim Qureshi said that more Engineers should shift towards entrepreneurship. To opt for their own business, the young engineers would need money, so PEC has decided to provide them with interest-free loans. For this purpose, the Pakistan Engineering Council will form an Engineering Construction Bank to help them with establishing their own startups.

Interest-Free Loans for Young Engineers to be Offered by PEC

This news was announced by Chairman PEC during the annual convention of Pakistan Society of Agriculture Engineers arranged by the University of Agriculture Faisalabad.  He said that agriculture is the backbone of Pakistan’s economy and it is directly linked to lessening of poverty.

While speaking on the occasion, he said that:

Collaborated efforts are needed for supporting the farming community, the downtrodden segment of society, and to promote modern and smart technology for increasing per-acre productivity. “We have to narrow down the gap in industry-academic linkages. Engineers should come up with low-cost agro-technology for small farms so that per-acre production can be increased manifold.”

He further said that the engineering council is equipped to hold the responsibility of building Dams in Pakistan. Moreover, it is a very good initiative for young engineers who were previously ignored. In this way, the Government will be able to eradicate unemployment to a certain level.
