TCS Launches Machine Readable Passport Home Delivery Project

TCS in collaboration with the Government of Pakistan has launched the Machine Readable Passport (MRP) Home Delivery Project. Ch. Nisar Ali Khan, Minister of Interior at the Nadra Headquarters in Islamabad inaugurated the project. Due to this project Pakistanis will now have more convenient and cost-effective way of having their Machine Readable Passports delivered to them right at their doorsteps through TCS Passport Express.

This is a Public Sector Development Program of the Government of Pakistan which has been developed to convert manual passports and visas into Machine Readable Passports and visas, and then print the passports and visas before delivering them to the applicants within a specified time. The services will initially be offered in 7 districts of the country, covering Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Quetta, and Muzaffarabad.

The Home Delivery of Machine Readable Passport service will offer a reliable, and secure option to the applicants and will deliver their passports at their given home addresses.

TCS will ensure that the Machine Readable Passports dispatched by the MRP Office reach the correct person or his authorized representative on the given address within the prescribed time limit and in a safe and secure manner.

The event was also attended by Mr. Usman Akhtar Bajwa, DG Immigration & Passport, Mr. Shahid Khan, Secretary Interior, Mr. Salman Akram, Country Head Corporate, TCS, and Mr. Naiyar Saifi, Director Marketing, TCS.
