If you are on Twitter, then here is good news for music lovers. Twitter has teamed up with SoundCloud to enable users to listen the tracks through a tab called Twitter Moments. Just like the video auto play feature, where Vine clips will play automatically when you scroll down through your timeline, the new SoundCloud feature auto plays audio clips in the same way.
Twitter Moments now Support Audio Cards from SoundCloud
To be clear, Sound Cloud’s audio cards have been available for playing on Twitter’s timeline since 2014. But now they are modified to work within the Twitter Moments feature.
Twitter users can also share the entire playlists or any other audio content on Moments feature as tweets with audio cards from SoundCloud. Giving further explanations twitter said that;
“Moments is a great way to discover the most compelling and buzz worthy stories on Twitter instantly, and SoundCloud’s inherently social infrastructure makes it easy to bring the newest music to the forefront, with 12 hours of new content shared on SoundCloud every minute.”
Some people believe that this new addition is a clever move by twitter. As in past, Twitter has been struggling with its music ambitions. But the music app introduced by twitter failed to deliver the sort of experience that could attract mainstream users to its platform. The app forced users to follow artists in order to power its music recommendations, but now with the “twitter moments” many unwanted things can be avoided in your twitter feed.
