Vivo X100 Ultra Camera Details Emerge

Vivo is wrapping up to launch X100 Ultra on May 13 alongside the Vivo X100S and Vivo X100s Pro. There have been several rumors and leaks circulating about this highly anticipated handset. The Chinese tech brand posted camera samples of the Vivo Phone online to hype up its camera prowess. In addition, Vivo’s Vice President Jia Jingdong revealed the camera specifications of the upcoming flagship phone. The Vivo X100 Ultra will boast an amazing camera setup comprising Samsung’s 200-megapixel ISOCELL HP9 camera sensor and Sony’s latest Lytia LYT-900, a 1-inch sensor.

Vivo X100 Ultra Camera To Boast World’s Strongest Periscope Telephoto Lens

According to reports, the X100 Ultra will be equipped with Samsung’s 200-megapixel ISOCELL HP9 sensor. This sensor is tipped to be jointly developed by Vivo and Samsung. Moreover, it is claimed to be the world’s strongest periscope telephoto lens, which improves clarity and sharpness, and restores natural colors. This highly anticipated periscope telephoto sensor comes with Zeiss APO certification. Additionally, the Vivo X100 Ultra’s camera setup will include Sony’s 1-inch LYT900 50-megapixel sensor with CIPA 4.5-level gimbal image stabilization. For all those unaware, CIPA level 4.5 is claimed to be the most advanced anti-shake standard presently. Moreover, it can detect handshakes and quickly calculate real-time shake data.

Vivo officially shared camera samples on Weibo showing us the upcoming Vivo X100 Ultra’s camera capabilities. The smartphone was developed internally by Vivo under the codename “Thanos.” Vivo has employed second-generation VCS technology to optimize pixel light sensitivity in the upcoming handset. The smartphone reportedly uses the industry’s only fluorite-grade glass lens, FCD100, with an Abbe number as high as 95 for enhanced image quality. FCD100 was previously used in Sony’s professional cameras.

The smartphone is tipped to feature a third 50-megapixel LYT600 ultra-wide-angle rear camera. Moreover, it will boast a 50-megapixel ISOCELL JN1 selfie snapper with support for 4K video capturing at 60 frames per second. The Vivo X100 Ultra is currently up for pre-booking in China. The available color options include Space Gray, Titanium, and White Moonlight. The X100 Ultra will be announced on May 13 in China at 7 pm local time (4:30pm IST).
