Anusha Rahman Wins for Pakistan the Government Leadership Award at GSMA. After JazzCash success at the MWC 2017, here is another good news for Pakistan. The  Minister of State for Information Technology and Telecommunication, Ms. Anusha Rahman’s dedicated and extraordinary efforts won the leadership award for Pakistan at GSMA today. It is indeed a great news as Pakistan has earned two awards at an international platform like GSMA.

The award was received by the Minister of State for IT and Telecom Anusha Rahman. Speaking at the event, the minister said:

“This award belongs to the people of the Pakistan and to the telecom sector industry which is connecting the unconnected in partnership with the government”.

“This award recognizes the government’s proactive approach to consulting with the industry as it embarks on a series of regulatory reforms, starting with the adoption of the Telecom Policy 2015 to drive further regulatory modernization in the country.”

Gone are the days when Pakistan was far behind in the field of IT and Telecom. Our country, under the leadership of ministers like, Anusha Rahman, is doing wonders and earning fame at international platforms.

Before this, GoP also won the “Transparent Spectrum Auction Award” last year in the GSMA.

The Minister for Information Technology & Telecommunication has been invited by the GSMA to participate in the Annual GSMA Ministerial Program 2017 and to express her views on the emerging technologies shaping the global community.

The Ministerial Programme is an integral part of the Annual MWC, which provides a unique forum for CEOs, ministers, regulators and policymakers from around the world to discuss the challenges and opportunities of the ever evolving mobile sector.
