Huawei Pura 70 Series Introduces Floor-Level Detection for Easy Tracking

The Huawei Pura 70 series has made its debut, boasting enhanced camera capabilities, innovative generative AI functions like object removal, and upgraded performance. A new addition to the lineup simplifies phone identification, enhancing the overall user experience.

The newly introduced “floor-level detection” function, integrated with Huawei Cloud, is a noteworthy addition to the Huawei Pura 70 series. This feature facilitates precise identification of the phone’s floor location, offering users a convenient way to track their device. Notably, the function operates seamlessly even in offline mode, ensuring reliability regardless of internet connectivity.

To utilize this feature, users must update their Huawei Cloud to version 15.0.0.300 or later. Once updated, enabling the phone tracking feature requires navigating to Cloud Space within the Huawei Account settings in the Settings app. This ensures seamless integration and access to the “floor-level detection” functionality on the Huawei Pura 70 series.

To utilize the “floor-level detection” feature, users can log in to their Huawei account from another Huawei device and access the device search page within Huawei Cloud. Reports suggest that this feature currently covers densely populated areas, including airports and stations, across more than 10,000 mainstream cities in the country. As per speculation, the availability of this feature may expand to additional locations soon, enhancing its usability and reach for Huawei Pura 70 series users.

The Huawei Pura 70 series consists of four variants: the Pura 70, the Pura 70 Pro, the Pura 70 Pro+, and the Pura 70 Ultra. Among these, the top-tier variant, the Pura 70 Ultra, features a unique retractable zoom lens, a rarity in mainstream smartphones. Huawei refers to this innovative camera setup as a “super-concentrated macro telephoto” camera, which offers 3.5X optical zoom with a focal length of 90mm. This advanced zoom capability enables users to capture detailed shots from a distance, enhancing their photography experience.
