Apple has been named a “titan” that is expanding its power with profound privacy features. We are not saying that on our own. It is according to Time Magazine’s list of the 100 most important companies of 2022.

Apple, the iPhone maker is “flexing its muscles” during 2022, according to Time magazine. And its depiction of the iPhone maker’s successes concentrated on privacy features like App Tracking Transparency (ATT). The ATT feature is a “momentous step” by the publication, which Apple advertised as a pro-privacy victory. Many consumers seemed to drop out of tracking across multiple apps and websites, according to the report.

“While many anti-surveillance campaigners applauded the move, others pointed out that it underscored Apple’s enormous power,”. The Time reported. “Ad-dependent technology companies like Meta and Snap slammed Apple’s action for ‘headwinds’ resulting in tens of billions of dollars in revenue losses.”

Since its launch, firms that rely on advertising, like Facebook and Snap, have warned that the ATT feature will have an impact on their revenue. It comes out in October 2021 that Apple’s privacy tool will cost social media businesses a total of $10 billion in revenue.

Some ad industry professionals are also afraid that new capabilities in iOS 15, such as Hide My Email along with Private Relay, may have a negative influence on ad income.
