A recent study reveals that Apple Watch Can Detect an Abnormal Heart Rhythm with 97% Accuracy, according to a study conducted by “University of California, San Francisco”. The Apple Watch can 97% accurately detect the abnormal heart rhythm of a person with an AI-based algorithm, explains the professors.

The study was conducted on 6158 participants while using Cardiogram app of Apple Watch.

The Cardiogram successfully tested deep neutral network it had built against the 51 in-hospital cardioversions.

The professors also shared that:

“They achieved a 97 percent accuracy in the neural network’s ability to find irregular heart activity.”
