Google Features 12 Female Artists To Celebrate International Women’s Day

Google has a tradition of celebrating special days and featuring famous personalities on such days or giving tribute to our national heroes on their birthday’s etc. As today 8th,March,2018– An International Women Day, Google has honored females artists with their stories which are quite appealing. Google Features 12 Female Artists To Celebrate International Women’s Day.

The tech giant, features 12 interactive illustrations or “Google Doodles” on it’s homepage. The artists are from 12 countries, including, Pakistan, U.S., Japan and Mexico.

Google Tributes 12 Female Artists on International Women’s Day

Each illustration features a personal story or moment that has affected that artist as a woman, such as growing older or falling in love. The Doodles will go live Thursday morning, and readers can see subtitles in different languages.

While honoring women on this day, Google Doodle’s product manager said that:

“This year, we wanted to bring forward unheard stories and voices, and to celebrate women’s collective experiences with all of their commonalities and differences. “We want to shine a light on the important and far reaching impact of everyday women.

The most proud moment for Pakistan is that Pakistani born British artist, Saffa Khan who centered her Doodle titles “Homeland” around being an immigrant writing love letter to her first home Pakistan.

While telling her story, Saffa Khan said that:

“Being an immigrant, I want people to simply be able to empathize and visualize this small fragment of my most cherished memories of the home I had to leave behind. “And to understand that the love and support received from strong womanhood can help you accomplish anything.”

Other eleven stories are also of influential women artist across the world. The stories address international women’s experiences with love, dreams, careers, identity and other topics in honor of International Women’s Day.

People are happily celebrating this day by giving gifts to the great women in their life. Social Media platforms are flooded with women’s day best quotes with hashtags.
