Punjab Election Monitoring Centre has introduced ‘Hotline 8070’

In order to hold the forthcoming general elections in a free, fair, transparent and peaceful manner, the Punjab government has set up a hotline 8070 to receive complaints against violation of the code of conduct and take prompt action against the violators.

This hotline introduced by the Punjab Election Monitoring Centre is operative round-the-clock (24/7) to receive complaints along with photographic evidence from their smartphones and send it with the help of an “android app”. Government has promised to take severe action against the complaints.

  • Terrorism
  • Harassment acts
  • Political Gatherings without permission
  • Usage of loud-speakers
  • Big promotional sign boards/banners
  • Or any other vicious thing

Apart from everything else, it is the prime and national responsibility of people to immediately contact Punjab Election Monitoring Centre or law enforcement departments, if they find any suspicious activity in their surroundings.
