iPhone 4 and 5 Needs an Immediate Update
For GPS, cloud, email, web browsing, app store and other features
If all these years you’ve been able to hang on to your iPhone 4 or 5: Congratulations! A year-long gauntlet of cracked screens, toilet drops, theft, peer pressure and seductive advertising have been successfully navigated to cling to the vintage device.
But now, to keep these phones and other older Apple gadgets working properly, you will have to clear up yet another hurdle. Luckily, it’s a very simple process. You only need to do it ASAP.
For GPS, cloud, email, web browsing, app store and other features, iPhone 5 users must install update 10.3.4 via wireless or computer ASAP. If users miss that deadline, they’re going to have to take a slightly more arduous backup route and restore their phones via a computer.
Users can navigate to the “Settings” menu to check that the software is up-to-date, select “General” and select “About” from the options list to check that the correct software has been downloaded. Those with an iPhone 4 or some early versions of the iPad will have to download version 9.3.6 of the program, or their GPS and other services may not work properly.
Do you know: In January 2020, Mashable in Pakistan Will be Launched?
If you still have any of these devices, don’t let the wayside drop this update. So far you’ve already done it.
