KPITB, STZA Partnership: Haripur Digital City Set to Become Tech Hub
The collaboration between the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board (KPITB) and the Special Technology Zones Authority (STZA) marks a significant milestone in the development of Pakistan’s digital infrastructure. The signing ceremony, dedicated to the “Zone Development Agreement of Pakistan Digital City Haripur (PDC),” underscores the commitment of both organizations to propel the country’s technology sector forward. This agreement paves the way for the establishment of the Pakistan Digital City Haripur (PDC), which is poised to become a key hub for innovation, entrepreneurship, and technological advancement.
The agreement between KPITB and STZA outlines significant benefits for Pakistan Digital City Haripur (PDC) and its affiliated enterprises. One of the key provisions is the provision of tax incentives, positioning PDC Haripur as a tax-free zone for businesses within its jurisdiction. Enterprises operating within PDC Haripur will enjoy a 10-year tax exemption, aimed at attracting investment and creating an environment conducive to technological innovation and growth in the region.

During his speech at the ceremony, Khalid Latif Khan emphasized the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government’s dedication to digital transformation under the leadership of Chief Minister Mr. Ali Amin Gandapur. He underscored the significance of the 1642 million rupee investment in Pakistan Digital City, which is being supervised by NESPAK and the National Logistics Cell. This investment reflects KP’s vision to position itself as Pakistan’s leading digital hub.
