The developer Imam informed that people always asked where they could find a good doctor to facilitate them with their medical problems.

Marham is the Digital Healthcare Solution for the people of Pakistan. It is created to address the Medical and Health issues posed to patients and doctors. It can facilitate you in finding Doctors, Physicians and Consultants around you.

The moment you download the Marham app health experts with their particular icons will appear.

Imam’s motivation to develop the application came from a misfortune. In April 2007 his father was admitted to a hospital in Lahore for a liver disease. The doctor handling Ehsan Imam’s father said he was safe regardless of the medical report signifying internal bleeding. The doctor did not believe the findings of the medical report and after three days Ehsan Imam’s father passed away.

Being a technologist who has already created many applications, this misfortune inspired Ehsan Imam to develop a mobile application. That would permit people find doctors associated to the medical state they were suffering from.

When questioned what are the leading issues related with healthcare in Pakistan, Imam replied the major issue in Pakistan is people do not have basic awareness of the malady. And they are also unaware about how to consult the right doctor.

Imam further added that the first important step is to create a Facebook group where individuals could ask queries about any disease. And have debates with a panel of doctors.

Currently, Marham is available in 12 major cities of Pakistan including Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad.

The new app has already been downloaded by 30,000 people. More than 10,000 appointments with doctors have also been made, according to Ehsan Imam.
