The ministry is praised a lot by making the “E-Suite including e-Filing System” functional. In this way MOIT becomes the first government ministry among SAARC countries where it is successfully implemented.
While talking to APP, A spokesperson of the ministry said that:
MoIT has started using modules of the e-office suite, and Ministry of Commerce, Establishment Division and Ministry of Foreign Affairs have started inter-departmental communication/file movement through e-office.
He also told that intra-government fiber connectivity is established over 72kms secure, dedicated and 24/7 e-communication amongst federal ministries/divisions.
This project will roll out in more than 25 ministries and division. About 12 of them have cut-over to e-office suite and more than 7,000 federal government employees have been trained on the e-office application.
Provision of the local IT infrastructure for end users is the core responsibility of the beneficiary organization. So it is the prime responsibility of NITB to ensure the maintenance and availability of e-Office application in collaboration with National Telecommunication Corporation (NTC).
