Motorola Shows off the Edge 50 Ultra in Peach Fuzz Colour

Motorola recently confirmed some exciting details about the upcoming Edge 50 Ultra, particularly its impressive 125W fast charging capability. This confirmation came in the form of a tweet showcasing an animation revealing the phone’s internal components. While the tweet stopped short of revealing the phone itself, this latest teaser takes us a step further. In this reveal, we get a glimpse of the Edge 50 Ultra painted in Pantone’s Color of the Year 2024, charmingly named “Peach Fuzz.” This hue has already graced Motorola’s Edge 40 Neo and Razr 40 Ultra models.

When it comes to design, the Edge 50 Ultra seems to align with previous renders, featuring a camera island positioned in the top left corner. Notably, the third lens adopts an oval shape, indicating the presence of a 72mm periscope lens.

Leaks have also shed light on the specifications of the Edge 50 Ultra. The phone will come with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor, boasting a curved 6.7-inch FHD+ display with a refresh rate of 165Hz. You will also get a robust 50MP main shooter at the back. Additionally, Motorola’s partnership with Corning suggests that the device will utilize Gorilla Glass for added durability.

Excitement is building as the official Motorola Edge 50 event will take place on April 16th, coinciding with the European launch of the Edge 50 Pro. The Edge 50 Pro will come with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor and features 125W fast charging.

Aside from the Ultra and Pro models, anticipation surrounds the potential unveiling of a Fusion model, rumoured to sport the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor and 68W charging. Furthermore, some reports are saying that the Ultra variant will make its way to the US market under the moniker Motorola Edge+ 2024.
