Porsche 911 Speedster is on its Way
On Tuesday, ahead of the 2019 New York International Auto Show, Porsche revealed one of the last 911 models based on the 991 generation, the 2019 Porsche 911 Speedster. It is a lightweight convertible based from the 911 GT3 Touring model.
The car’s engine spins out 502 horsepower and spins up to 9,000 rpm, with drive going to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission only. Porsche has reported, it will speed from 0-60 mph in 3.8 seconds on its way to a top speed of 192 mph.

Brakes of Porsche 911 Speedster are lightweight, carbon-ceramic and the only transmission on offer is a six-speed manual.
Initially, the driveable 911 Speedster Concept was presented on June 8 in 2018 in Zuffenhausen as a “Heritage” version. It was also confirmed that it will go into production in 2019. The car was designed at Porsche Motorsport in cooperation with Style Porsche and Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur in Weissach.
The car’s cross-spoke wheel design is similar to that of Porsche racing cars such as the 911 RSR and the GT3 R. the vehicle will come with tinted day-time running lights, they were also inspired by racing.
911 Speedster Concept car includes the shortened window frames with the lowered cowl top panels and the smaller side windows along with the carbon-fiber rear bonnet. There is the double-bubble cover behind the seats.
