Design and Display of QMobile Noir W20:

QMobile Noir has 4 inch WVGA display panel on front. Though it’s an entry level smartphone, so we can’t expect much from it. It has fairly good screen with soft capacitive touch. The display brightness can control manually from quick settings while in sunlight it goes a bit dark but still the icons are pretty visible.

Design and Display of QMobile Noir W20:

Being an entry level device, Noir W20 has plastic body frame and a sizeable phone which can easily be handled with a single hand. The dimensions are said to be (126 x 64 x 10) mm, while the thickness is 10 mm and weighs 114 grams.

When it comes to design, the first thing to discuss is front panel of phone. QMobile Noir W20 is provided with 4 incher capacitive panel and its dominance welcomes you at upfront. QMobile has tried to give a new look to smartphone, at the both top and bottom –there is a kind of grill, the bottom’s grill has nothing to carry however the upper grill has earpiece.

The Glass panel has capacitive screen and functions key that are outside the capacitive display. The front camera is also lies inside the Glass panel along with couple of sensors

Turn the Noir W20 upside down, the back side of smartphone carries camera, LED flash and speaker. The patterned back cover is removable, fingernails helps to pop the cover off that reveals the battery and SIMs slots. Upper portion has two cutouts for 2MP rear camera and LED flash. The bottom finds loudspeaker under the grill of tiny pinholes.

Memory for QMobile Noir W20:

Noir W20 comes with 512 MB RAM and 4GB ROM, but only  1.2 GB space is available for storage. However Noir W20 has microSD card slot that supports upto 32GB micro-SD card. Currently the Apps eats memory due high graphics and complex calculations, so the available 512MB RAM would not work fine with quad-core processor.

Camera within QMobile Noir W20:

Noir W20 features 2MP rear with LEG and same 2 MP lens at front. They capture photos with (1600 x 1200) pixels resolution with 4:3 native ratio. The camera is simple and easy to use. The rear camera can track the object, the object tracking feature is good notation for an entry level smartphone.

In addition, it provides Face detection, Scene mode, Whit balance, Exposure option in General settings. While the camera shooting options include Voice capture, Smile shot, Self-timer and few more. Both the lenses are fixed focus.

The main interface has four different toggles on the right side that victory capture mode, HDR, Flash controller camera switcher. The upper black interface layout has three toggles for Panorama, Face Beauty and Normal mode.

Network / Connectivity of QMobile Noir W20:

QMobile Noir W20 is a 3G enabled Dual SIM smartphone in range of 5K to 6K. It support the 2100 MHz band in Pakistan for 3G communication. Other connectivity options are WiFi b/g/n, Hotspot, MicroUSB port 2.0, Audio jack 3.5 and last but not the least, a GPS tracker for global positioning.

Battery Performance of QMobile Noir W20:

When it comes to battery, QMobile Noir W20 is powered with 1400mAh Battery capacity. Due to price range of smartphone, the company has aimed to provide the low budget smartphone. Well, frankly speaking, 1400mAh battery is nothing when it comes to 3G enable smartphone, it should have been at least 1800mAh. Yet the battery can work for whole single day on GSM network.

Processor of QMobile Noir W20:

The QMobile Noir W20 embeds MediaTek MT6580M chipset on board. The Quad-core Processor runs at 1.3 GHz clocked speed. But let me come this into knowledge that due to less MBs in RAM, the processor won’t be able to run at its optimal point. You can run only 1 Application at same time otherwise it will frequently halts during the execution of instructions.

QMobile Noir W20 is an entry level smartphone with small specification sheet. it is available at very affordable price of PKR. 5250/- in Pakistan. Normally the international brands like Samsung’s entry level smartphones are expensive and almost the double the price of QMobile. i would suggest the device for youngster and specially for those who wants to keep in touch on social media but they usual can’t manage money to buy it. QMobile Noir W20 should be first choice for those.
