Return of Samsung Galaxy C Series

Samsung’s latest addition to its smartphone lineup, the Galaxy A55, has hit the market, and it’s anticipated that slightly tweaked and more budget-friendly variants will soon follow in the Galaxy M and F series. However, Samsung’s ambitions don’t end there. They’re broadening their portfolio with the introduction of a new model in the Galaxy C series.

After a hiatus of seven years, the Galaxy C series is poised to re-enter Samsung’s lineup with the anticipated launch of the Galaxy C55. Recently spotted on the Google Play Console listing, the device appears to share specifications akin to those of the Galaxy M55/F55. However, it’s worth noting that the Galaxy C55 is expected to be exclusive to the Chinese market, signaling a targeted release strategy.

Galaxy C55 Expected Features

According to the Play Console listing, the Galaxy C55 is expected to feature a Full HD (1080 x 2400 pixel) display with a screen density of 450 DPI. Running on Android 14, the device is slated to come with 8GB of RAM, promising smooth performance for users. The Galaxy C55 is anticipated to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor, offering reliable performance comparable to what’s rumored for the Galaxy M55 and F55 models.

The Snapdragon 7 Gen 1, introduced in 2022, features four Cortex-A710 cores running at 2.4 GHz, alongside four Cortex-A510 cores operating at 1.8 GHz, and an Adreno 662 GPU. While it may not prioritize high-performance tasks, it should manage everyday usage efficiently, albeit potentially encountering challenges with resource-intensive gaming applications.

Besides these specifications, further details about the Galaxy C55 remain scarce. However, the device has been surfacing in certifications. It suggests an imminent launch of the Galaxy C55. Samsung is also anticipated to unveil the Galaxy M55 and Galaxy F55 smartphones for the global market soon.
