The Witcher 4: CD Projekt Red Promises a Game-Changing Experience

After unveiling its financial report, CD Projekt Red engaged with shareholders to address their inquiries. While it was confirmed that the company has no plans to introduce microtransactions in its single-player games, this wasn’t the only topic discussed. CDPR’s CFO, Piotr Nielubowicz, shed light on the highly anticipated project Polaris, also known as The Witcher 4. He emphasized that fans should not expect a mere rehash of The Witcher 3, as the new game will introduce a host of fresh gameplay elements and mechanics, promising an experience unlike any before in the franchise.

Nielubowicz stated, “You should not be expecting just a Witcher 3 in new clothing. We’re building on the foundation of our past work but adding new elements, gameplay mechanics, and features that will surprise and delight our fans.”

Currently, the development team for The Witcher 4 consists of over 400 individuals, with the game still in its pre-production phase. The team plans to commence production later this year, indicating steady progress on the project.

Despite the excitement surrounding the game, CD Projekt Red has not disclosed a release date for Polaris. Nielubowicz emphasized that revealing the release date is part of the company’s marketing strategy, and as such, they are not ready to divulge that information at this time.

The anticipation for The Witcher 4 continues to grow, with fans eagerly awaiting further updates and insights into this highly anticipated instalment in the beloved franchise.
