WhatsApp is developing a Boomerang feature, just like Instagram, that would allow you to make looping videos. Currently, the feature is in the testing phase. It has been reported that initially, the feature will only be available for iPhone users. But once the company makes it available for iOS then it will also hit the Android devices soon.
Instagram has already developed a Boomerang app for its users to let them easily make one-second video loops.
WhatsApp to Test a Boomerang Feature
The development of the Boomerang feature was reported by WABetaInfo. WhatsApp users will receive the new feature through the Video Type panel, that is currently providing the ability to convert a video file into GIF.
According to the source, this new feature will only be available for videos that are not longer than seven seconds. Furthermore, users will be able to share the video loops with WhatsApp contacts that are created through the new feature. The videos could be shared with WhatsApp contacts through a message or uploaded as a status update. We hope that WhatsApp users will enjoy this new feature.
Well, it has also been reported that Facebook is planning to rebrand the Whatsapp and Instagram. Let’s see how the parent company will re-band these two social apps. Would it be the best idea or not?
