After a long time disappearance from the scene, Black Berry aims to integrate the keyboard use in smart phones.Despite the presence of too many apps and specs many people feel that the touch pad handling has many limitations.Some users still want a keyboard integrated in their smart phones.This unique need of a small group can give a strong marketing niche to BlackBerry and hopefully capture the lost market share of mobiles market by the end of 2016.

Why BlackBerry intends to capitalize on KeyBoard Strategy

• Having physical buttons for your fingers to push increases dexterity and ensures your button presses are accurate.
• Doesn’t matter whether we’re talking about walking around or riding in the back seat of a taxi — the physical keyboard rules the motion environment.
• For those of us with longer fingernails, physical keyboards are more fingernail friendly
• As your fingers slow down with age and your eyesight begins to wane, the instant response of a touchscreen tap can become hard to manage.

BlackBerry Predecessors  DTEK50 and DTEK60 were marketed as the world’s most secure Android Smartphones.These already present models in the market  are not also doing much good to improve the customer base.

Comparison with Apple and other Android phones

Apple and all of the android phone makers introduced new operating system and physical forms for their phones. That was a huge disruption in the mobile phone market and BlackBerry didn’t follow. They didn’t change their operating system to match the new offerings from their competitors and then they couldn’t change the physical form of their phones.

Not many details about specs of new smartphone are available but one can assume on the basis of the BlackBerry Murcury, the last phone rumored to be released by company, that specs would be really a new addition.

Geekbench listed the specs of Blackberry murcury to be as  2.02GHz Qualcom, 3GB RAM with an octa core processor.

There are chances that company would come up with a flagship competitor of Whatsapp messenger by the name of BBM(BlackBerry messenger).

This new marketing edge of BlackBerry will either reposition the company and capture the lost share in the mobile market or the prevailing one touch comfort will over shadow the new concept.We still need to wait to experience the difference and comment accordingly!
