Google Maps for iOS Brings Follow Button for Users

At CES 2019, Google has also announced the integration of the Assistant into Google Maps for both Android and iOS. This integrating Assistant into Google Maps will make the use of Maps easier for all the users across the globe. Now, users can use other apps without leaving the Maps.

Andrew Cooper, Product Manager, Google Maps, wrote in a blog post:

“Starting this week, you can stay up to date on your favorite places right from the Google Maps app on iOS. Simply search for a place—whether it’s a new restaurant that just opened up in your neighborhood or that must-try bakery across town – and tap the Follow button. You’ll then be able to see important updates from these places in your ‘For You’ tab so you can quickly learn about upcoming events, offers and more,”

Initially,  the follow button is rolling out in those countries where the ‘For you’ tab is available, but after some time it will also be available in other areas of the World.
