Google warns manufacturers of Pixel 4 and pixel 4XL over its security features

The android smartphones Pixel 4 and pixel 4XL will be launched at the end of this month. These devices are the Google’s own products. They have all the advanced features installed by Google. They will be launched in a competitive market. Therefore, no weak points can be tolerated. Because it will affect its sale.

Google warns Pixel 4 and pixel 4XL over its security features

 There is recent discovery that Pixel 4 and 4XL has some loopholes in its security feature. There are no security features like fingerprint sensor or pattern lock except the face-unlock.  Although, Google had made claims that it will provide one security feature. And its technological features will be identical to Apple’s Face-unlock.

But some contradiction has arisen. The report says that there is some fault in the security feature. It must be addressed, says Google. A BBC reporter has found the loopholes in the Face-unlock feature of Pixel 4 and Pixel 4XL.

According to him, Face-unlock feature has alarming problems. If you have an identical twin or even someone who has a slight resemblance with you. Then you will face the problem. Because that particular person will also be able to unlock your pixel 4 or pixel 4XL. So, this puts a big question mark on company’s performance.

Along with that, there is another loophole. The face unlock works even if our eyes are closed. But if we compare it with the Apple’s face unlock, its slightly contrary to it. In Apple’s iphone the Face unlock won’t work if our eyes are closed. It detects a person whether he/she is active or not. And therefore, it is much more reliable.

Now, Google has a big job at its hands. They must be fixing these problems before the launch of the device. Or, they will have to face consequences for it in form of low sales.
