Huawei Honor 8C Launched With Snapdragon 632 & 4000mAh Battery

Huawei’s subsidiary Honor launched its latest smartphone today in China. The Huawei Honor 8C is the first smartphone to be released with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 SoC that was unveiled back in June this year. The smartphone features a massive battery size of 4000mAh together with dual camera setup.

The smartphone features a 6.26-inch HD+ TFT LCD IPS display with a 19:9 aspect ratio. It has 86.6% screen-to-body ratio. Moreover, the smartphone runs EMUI 8.2 based on Android 8.1 Oreo. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 SoC, paired with an Adreno 506 GPU. The 14nm chip with four A73-based Kryo cores and four A53-based ones offers good general performance. However, it will not be our pick for a gaming phone for sure. The phone features 4GB of RAM and 32GB of inbuilt storage. Furthermore, the storage is expandable via microSD card slot up to 256GB.

The Honor 8C Camera setup includes a vertically placed dual rear camera setup with a 13-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary black-and-white sensor (f/2.4 aperture). On the front, the smartphone sports an 8-megapixel selfie camera with fixed focus and f/2.0 aperture. The phone also features face unlock capabilities together with accelerometer, ambient light sensor, electronic compass, fingerprint sensor, and proximity sensor. There is a non-removable 4,000mAh battery present in it with support for 5V/2A (10W) charging. Honor 8C Color Options include Magic Night Black, Nebula Purple, Platinum Gold, and Aurora Blue.

Honor 8C price is set at CNY 1,099 (Approximately PKR 20,913) for the 4GB of RAM and 32GB storage variant. On the other hand, its price is CNY 1,399 (about PKR 26,622) for the 4GB RAM/ 64GB inbuilt storage model. Furthermore, Honor 8c will go on sale from October 16. There are still no words about the global availability of the phone by the company yet.
