Huawei’s May 7 Global Launch Event Leaves Out Pura 70 Phones

Huawei revealed plans for an upcoming product launch event scheduled for May 7 in Dubai. The event will feature a range of innovative products, including wearables, Matebook laptops, and Matepad tablets. Notably, the announcement did not mention any smartphones being part of the lineup for the event.

It’s speculated that Huawei’s upcoming wearable could be the Watch Fit 3, which is anticipated to be a hybrid between a band and a watch, reminiscent of the design of the Apple Watch. Reports suggest it might feature a red-colored rotating button, adding to its visual appeal and functionality.

Huawei’s MateBook X Pro 2024 will be making its debut on the global stage during the event. This laptop, which has already been released in China, boasts a lightweight body weighing 980 grams and is equipped with the latest Intel Ultra 9 processor. Compared to the 13th generation Core i7, this new processor promises a significant performance boost of approximately 60%.

HUAWEI is Rebranding its P Series Flagships to “Pura”

The key question lingering is whether Huawei intends to release the Pura 70 smartphones globally or if they will be limited to the Chinese market, similar to the Mate 60 series. While there’s hope for a surprise unveiling of the flagships in a “one more thing” fashion, it’s unlikely given that flagship smartphones typically receive more extensive attention during product launches.
