Microsoft and Nissan Partner for Advanced Connected Cars

The world is going through many innovative and advanced technological developments including Internet of Things (IoTs), Smart Cities and now the idea of “Connected or Driver-less Cars”. Connected car will be another milestone achievement after these Mobile App Taxis. Many companies are entering into this business. Similarly,Microsoft and Nissan Partner for Advanced Connected Cars. This agreement is multi year and will work worldwide as well. Under this partnership, both companies will work in collaboration with each other to introduce the next-generation connected services for cars of Microsoft Azure; which is one of the company’s intelligent cloud services.

Of course, with this agreement the experience of customers will be improved as far as the navigation, external mobile experiences etc. are concerned. In this regard, Ogi Redzic, Renault-Nissan Alliance, senior VP, said that:

Partnering with Microsoft allows us to accelerate the development of the associated key technologies needed to enable scenarios our customers want and build all-new ones they haven’t even imagined. We aim to become the provider of connected mobility for everyone with one single global platform.”
