MoiTT to Make TIP the Best Revenue-Generating Body

Shoaib Ahmad Siddiqui-the Federal Secretary of Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication said that every possible step will be taken for the revival of the Telephone Industries of Pakistan ( TIP ) via a joint venture. He further said that it has been decided during his visit to Telephone Industries of Pakistan, Haripur on Monday.

According to Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui that Telephone Industries of Pakistan can help us to run many businesses in order to generate revenue for the country’s benefit and development. He added that we will try to make Telephone Industries of Pakistan the best revenue-generating body. It is to be expected that the Telephone Industries of Pakistan will become an important element for the country’s development.

The Federal Secretary Ministry of IT and Telecommunication also visited various departments, workshops, and sites of the TIP.

Managing Director (MD) Telephone Industries of Pakistan Taimur Khan briefed the Federal Secretary- Ministry of IT about the functions of the factory. The Federal Secretary also issued directions to Managing Director TIP in order to resolve all issues of the TIP’s employees.

While reviewing the status of TIP, the Federal Secretary of IT Ministry said that an advertisement for Expression of Interest (EOI) should be prepared in consultation with Privatization Commission and present it before the Board of Directors (BoD) by the end of August.
