BBM is the quick, easy way to stay connected to the people that matter to you, and with today’s announcement we’re expanding the capabilities of the service for deeper social engagement and even greater collaboration, beginning with voice functionality
A split-screen option has been introduced, which will let them talk and text at the same time. Users will be able to send pictures to their contact while talking with them, or check other BBM text chats, their email, or even navigate to other apps while still engaged on a BBM Voice call.
The new feature comes months before RIM introduces its new BlackBerry 10 smartphones, which are seen critical to RIM’s survival. But it has pinned its hopes on next year’s BlackBerry 10 winning back market share from rivals.
