According to a report, published by Rogers Wireless (Canadian Phone Company), Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge to have Android 5.1 soon, expected in next month.  This means many other cell phone carrier companies will expect an Android 5.1 software update for Galaxy S6 & S6 Edge sooner or later than the time period mentioned by the Rogers Wireless.

The Android 5.1 software update will bring some new features to the Samsung Galaxy S6 & S6 Edge which were not available to the users of Android 5.0. These features include the Guest Mode feature and the ability to take RAW Photos.  The Guest Mode feature allows users to let other people use their phones as a guest and they don’t have access to the data such as Photos, Contacts and some other personal data of the owner of the phone. Apparently these features were not available for the users of Android 5.0 Lollipop. Besides this the new update will reportedly have a notification feature for message notification which is displayed at the top of the locked screen. This feature will allow users to swipe up to minimize the message notification.  Further more Google has also fixed some bugs and enhanced the memory performance in Android 5.1.

There are also rumors that Samsung will bring some other Touch Wiz features, enhanced camera features and the camera shutter speed will be increased for the Galaxy S6 & S6 Edge in the Android 5.1 update but these are still not confirmed yet.  Some of the carriers might also skip the Android 5.1 update and jumps to Android 5.1.1 software update, which is much more enhanced version of the Android.
