Samsung Note 9 & Galaxy S9 will Feature Heat Pipes for Cooling

Previously there were rumors that Samsung will not use heat pipes in its upcoming phones. The reason behind this was that they are very expensive. However as Samsung has a very bad experience of over heating its seems that they have finally taken steps to regain their position in market.

Heat pipes actually act as an additional precaution to stop the smartphone from over heating. Report also suggested that many smartphone companies are already testing vapor chambers to include them in upcoming phones.

Vapor Chamber is a better technology to control smartphone from over heating as compared to  Heat Pipes. Report by DigiTimes also specified that no orders are granted yet to incorporate this technology.

DigiTimes also suggested that we will be able to see vapor chambers by 2019. Vapor chambers are more costly than heat pipes. The inclusion of vapor chambers will also increase the price of handsets for sure.

Still Vapor Chambers seem more appealing due to its ability to dissipate heat. It will provide ease to users for a long term. Samsung had started using heat pipes with the release of Galaxy S7. Since then Samsung is incorporating this technology with all its major devices i.e; Galaxy S and Notes.
