Samsung S8 is the long awaited flagship smartphone from Samsung this year after its unfortunate explosion of Note 7 incident.
The three big controversial changes that Samsung has brought to S8 are: first, that Samsung has kicked out the home button and has integrated its functionality into the display instead. The fingerprint scanner will also be replaced with an optical finger recognition system built in the display.
Second, it will also get rid of the headphone jack to support the idea of wireless future. This might disappoint a lot of people but let’s see how Samsung reacts and supports this big decision.
However, the phone will also have a USB-C port for charging and syncing the device. Which will make the Galaxy S8 compatible with the latest Gear VR by Samsung, while still allowing for standardized fast charging solutions for the battery.
Third big change is that it will kill the PenTile Diamond pixel arrangement in favor of the traditional RGB color arrangement. The RGB color arrangement will make the screen appear more detailed, while retaining the same 1440 x 2560-pixel (Quad HD) resolution.
Samsung is holding leading shares in the smartphone market and has a name for building smartphones with good design, specs and feature and when it comes to Samsung’s Galaxy S series. They don’t compromise on quality.
