Telenor Revises Tax for its Customers in Islamabad. From 21st September 2016, 18.5% FED tax will apply on all PayG (rated) Calls, SMS & call setup fee instead of 19.5%.

Previously Telenor announced 19.5% FED tax for their customers. It decided to impose the same tax of 19.5 % which the Government of Punjab had imposed. But now people living in Islamabad will be charged 18.5% FED tax from 21st September. Customers will be charged one percent less.

Telenor is the second largest cellular operator in Pakistan having around 37 million subscribers. The recently launched 4G services will definitely further increase the Mobile Broadband (MBB) penetration in the country. Before this, Zong and Warid (now merged with Mobilink) were the 4G operators in Pakistan.
