Twitter’s Periscope, a famous live video streaming application for Android and iOS will celebrate its first anniversary in coming week with a landmark of about 200 million streams just in one year.

Out of these 200 million broadcasts hosted within Twitter, almost 100 million were made in past only within three months alone, a technology blog “Venturebeat” reported.

Also, 110 years’ rate of live video is watched each day across Periscope’s Android and iOS applications; which represents overall 91 % increase as compared to the last month percentage.

Twitter acquired Periscope in last January 2015 and launched it on March 26, 2015; at the same time when there was another great competitor in the market “Facebook Live” that was also launched by Facebook for live video streaming.

With the flourishing rise in digital technology, the live video market is another big thing and it has also started to grow with huge speed as the main participants in this competition are “Facebook Live” and “YouTube Connect”. The competition for “Twitter Periscope”  is tougher now due to these giants in the game.
