A New Sony Phone Surfaces On FCC
Sony smartphones are usually not considered to be the best Android phones. However, they represent the last stand of true fanatic phones. In a recent development, a new Sony phone surfaced on the FCC, hinting at an imminent launch. FCC is a government agency that regulates electronic communications in the United States. Smartphone makers aiming to sell their products in the US usually need to pass FCC certification. If a phone surfaces on FCC, it is a strong indicator that its launch is on the horizon. So, it means that Sony is working on a new handset that will soon make its way to the market.
So, if you are looking for a new Sony phone in the US, there’s still some hope. The Sony Xperia 1 VI has been in the rumor mill since the beginning of this year.  Leaks for the upcoming flagship, the Xperia 1 VI, have already begun swirling, suggesting its launch isn’t too far off.
The latest rumor swirling around Xperia 1 V1 gives information about the alleged dimensions of the upcoming flagship smartphone. Previously, it was claimed that the Xperia 1 VI would sport a 19.5:9 display and the supposed measurements seem to back that distinct rumor up. Sony has always offered a 21:9 display on its flagship phones since the first Xperia 1 and Xperia 5 launched in 2019. The recent leak asserts that the company’s next high-end phone will be wider and shorter than its predecessor due to a more conventional screen ratio. The highly anticipated Xperia 1 VI will measure 162 x 74.4 x 8.45mm making it shorter and wider than its predecessors.
