Google Assistant to Read Stories from the Google News App
Google has unveiled a new AI-powered News app in May 2018 which purpose was to present news stories from all angles. Now this time Google has announced that it has started rolling out a new feature that will help you to keep updated yourself if your eyes and hands are not free. Yes, Google Assistant to Read Stories from the Google News App. However, when this feature rolls out, it will be only available for the users of android.
This new feature will allow you to ask Assistant on your Android phone. Lets suppose if you ask “Hey Google, what’s the latest news?” Your android device will play some news directly from the Google News app, selected from different and authentic media companies.
Google Assistant to Read Stories on Android Devices
You can even ask for some more specific news such as the latest news about NASA or the latest news about sports. Google Home smart speakers will also support this new feature.
You can also view video or audio headlines about News, Sports, Politics and other topics on some smart Display devices, such as the recently released pair from Lenovo. You can choose your news channels from hundreds of options such as BBC and CNN. When you ask about a specific topic that will show up on the screen.
These features will soon be available on Android devices, smart speakers and Smart Display units but Google Assistant should be enabled in these devices. Google is also planing to offer this feature on Android Auto and on headphones with Google Assistant.
