Government Appoints Dr. Ismail Shah as Permanent Chairman

According to a notification issued by Cabinet Division Dr. Ismail Shah has been appointed as the permanent Chairman of PTA.

Dr. Shah was appointed as a member of the three-man PTA body and later elevated to the post of acting chairman under a notification issued on 26th Sept, 2013 and today he has been appointed as Permanent Chairman PTA.

Dr. Ismail Shah, former member Telecom at the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication, was working with Central Asian Cellular Forum as a consultant on 3G and 4G technologies. He has conducting technical trainings on 3G and 4G in numerous countries in North America, Middle East, Central Asia and South East Asia.

Dr. Shah completed his doctorate in electrical engineering from University of Pittsburgh, US; supervised six PhD students and has more than 90 publications to his credit. He has been an adjunct faculty member at the Southern Illinois University Carbondale, Illinois, US.
Dr. Shah has also been associated with the Pakistan Engineering Council, IEEE-USA – an organizational unit of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Incorporated – and the Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers, Japan. He was associated with Central Asian Cellular Forum as an Executive Director.
