PTA Chairman Solves the Issue of Shaukat Khanum’s Donation System
As we reported earlier, there was some technical issue with the SMS based donation system (7770) of Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital. It is a medium thought which people can donate a minimum of Rs. 20 (+to tax) to Shaukat Khanum for making another exemplary cancer hospital in Pakistan.
After Imran Khan requested PTA Chairman, Dr. Ismail Shah on ARY LIVE TELETHON, chairman personally took notice of the issue and the service has been restored. The management of SKMH is thankful of PTA Chairman that he took immediate action in solving a problem that was causing hurdles in a better cause.
Over the past two decades, Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre has established itself as a centre of excellence providing comprehensive care free of cost to thousands of indigent cancer patients. This pioneering, state-of-the-art hospital located in Lahore, Pakistan was founded by Imran Khan, one of Pakistan’s most illustrious cricketers. As a charitable institute, it is funded predominantly from the donations of friends and well-wishers from around the country and across the world.
