Huawei Goes Global with Watch Fit 3, Matebook X Pro, and Matebook 14 Launch

Huawei hosted an event in Dubai, where it showcased its newest offerings to an international audience. Among the highlights was the unveiling of the Watch Fit 3, featuring a square shape and design reminiscent of the Apple Watch, along with a new tablet and two laptops.

During the event, Huawei commenced the international release of the MatePad 11.5″ S PaperMatte tablet and introduced the Matebook X Pro 2024, equipped with an Intel Ultra chipset. Furthermore, Huawei unveiled the Matebook 14, featuring 13th-generation Core i5 and Core i7 CPUs.

Huawei’s MateBook X Pro is slated to launch in the European market on June 4. It offers a base model with 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage priced at €1,999. In the UK. Consumers will have access to a higher-end variant boasting 32 GB RAM and 2 TB storage for £2,099. This diverse lineup caters to varying consumer needs and preferences, providing options for both standard users and those requiring more robust specifications.

The Watch Fit 3 was also showcased. It highlighted its remarkable lightweight and slim design. Weighing only 26 grams (excluding the strap) and with a thickness of just 9.9 mm, it boasts a 1.82″ AMOLED screen with curved edges on all four sides, resulting in a screen-to-body ratio of 77.4%. The software of the Watch Fit 3 mirrors that of other Huawei GT smartwatches. It provides a range of features, including sleep tracking, breathing awareness, TruSeen 5.5 heart rate monitoring, known for its impressive accuracy, over 100 activity modes, and access to more than 660 workout courses.

A notable enhancement of the Watch Fit 3 is the inclusion of the Calorie Counter feature. Initially, it was introduced in the Watch GT4 in September 2023. With its new screen, the Watch Fit 3 delivers improved user experience visuals, a complete design overhaul, vibrant colors, and larger fonts.

While Huawei typically doesn’t reveal the exact battery capacity of its wearables, the company officially states that the Watch Fit 3 can maintain power for up to 10 days on one charge, with heavy users getting approximately 7 days of use. Regrettably, the device lacks support for wireless charging and requires charging via a proprietary puck equipped with two pogo pins.
