Ministry of Religious Affairs Launches SMS Service to Prevent Fraud During Hajj 2019

In order to avoid fraud in Hajj 2019, the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony has launched short message services (SMS). The SMS will save private hajj pilgrims from fake Hajj Groups.

People who are planning to perform Hajj this year through any private Haj group organizer should send the first four digits of that particular Hajj organizer enrollment number from his mobile to 8331 to check its authenticity.

After this, the person will receive a reply containing all the details regarding the enrollment status of that Hajj organizing group, name of its chief executive, its allotted quota and address. However, the quota status of any HGO should be confirmed from the ministry’s relevant department.

Moreover, the ministry has also shared the list of the Hajj Group Organizers for Hajj operations in 2019. You can view the list through here.

To further facilitate people who are planning to perform Hajj 2019, the Ministry has launched an online monitoring system for instantly analyzing the pursuits, questions, complaints of Hujjaj amid Hajj days. The setup which has been introduced by Pakistan Information Technology Board (PITB) ensures that it will make Hajj administration easier for both the government and pilgrims.
