OnePlus 3 & 3T to Get OTA Update In Form Of OxygenOS 5.0.4

The recent OnePlus 5/5T and OnePlus 6 handsets have received July security patches along with much-needed fixes. Recently, we have come to know that the company is also sending an OTA update for the OnePlus 3 & 3T users. This OTA update will be in the form of OxygenOS version 5.0.4.

OxygenOS 5.0.4 for OnePlus 3 & 3T

The new OS version will deliver the latest July 2018 security patch to OnePlus 3 & 3T. It will also include some camera improvements. Unfortunately, the changelog has mentioned that the only front camera image quality optimization will be improved. So, the sad part of the news is that the company has shown no love for the main camera. There was a problem in Oneplus 3 & 3T that their camera apps used to crash whenever the user switches to the ISO mode. So, the company is also going to fix that long-lasting issue of third-party camera apps so that users don’t have to face such problems.

Along with the camera fixes, the update takes care of some annoying bugs related to third-party apps. Parallel WhatsApp crash bug is now squashed so it will be no longer a problem for you. The front camera zoom-in problem with Snapchat has also been resolved. The new release has been rolled out only to a small number of users and will reach all the users gradually in the following days. The security patch has been pushed to random devices. You cannot try to download it via VPN because it is not region specific.

We have a great news for the old users that this won’t be the last update for the smartphones. The OnePlus developer team is planning on introducing other “big changes”. So, we need to be patient because the details will be disclosed very soon according to the company.
