PITB Opens Applications for National Incubation Startup Program

The National Expansion Plan of the National Incubation Centers Programme has opened applications for the 6th cycle of its startup incubation program across the country. The Startup incubation program is a joint effort of the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) and the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication (MoITT),

According to the details shared by the PITB yesterday, through collaboration with the public universities, a total of 13 tech incubation centers have been established across Pakistan. These startups are offered a free-of-cost workspace, a monthly stipend, mentorship, networking opportunities, business support, and legal guidance for 6 months.

Moreover, the incubation program is designed to keep in mind the needs of early-stage start-ups and operates on a zero-equity model.  Currently, the applications are open for cities including Gujarat, Jamshoro, Karachi, Kohat, Lahore, Muzaffarabad, Quetta, Rawalpindi, Sukkur, Swat, and Taxila.

It is pertinent to mention here that the program has successfully incubated 690 start-ups to date, which have successfully generated a cumulative over Rs 1,100 million in revenue and created more than 12,000 jobs overall.
